When Morgan and Hudson called me this past summer & explained their situation of living in another state than the one they’re planning on getting married in, I thought, “Wow! They must be really brave!”. Here they are, making all their plans for their big day remotely. Come to find out, their wedding venue is just about 30 minutes away from me, tucked away in west Georgia. So, this was definitely going to be something that, if they chose me, would be really easy to work for the both of us. I was so excited, and honored, when they decided to have me shoot their beautiful wedding day!
Morgan and Hudson flew in right around Christmas to celebrate with their family. We were definitely working with a time crunch, but totally knew that we HAD to try and squeeze engagement portraits in while they were both in town. So, on December 28th, we did just that.
Now, this was a little more challenging engagement session because, well, it rained! It was a very heavy overcast with slight bouts of rain here and there. We had already decided that Sweetwater Creek State Park was the location and Hudson had come to scout it out about a week before and he loved it! So, that’s exactly what we did! Thankfully, it wasn’t too muddy and the creek wasn’t swollen to the point of danger. I am always in search of the best light and rely so much upon being able to use it, but this day, that just wasn’t an option. But they turned out so beautiful. I mean, can you even tell that it was raining on us in a few of these?
Here are a few of my favorites from the day! This couple, they are so genuinely kind and I just can’t wait to shoot their wedding in May! I am so excited and I just know we are going to have such a fun time!
